Nexora Market is a curated marketplace. Eight independent workshops sell here, each one making a narrow range of things properly rather than a wide range of things quickly. We do not carry own-brand stock and we do not resell wholesale goods.

How we choose makers

Every seller applies. We look for three things: the work is made in small batches, the maker can tell us where the materials come from, and they will repair what they sell. Roughly one application in nine gets a shop.

The makers

  • Aurora Athletics — Sportswear & performance footwear, Portland, OR. Portland-built performance gear tested on wet trails and cold mornings. Aurora Athletics makes footwear and training layers for people who run before sunrise.
  • Volt & Vine — Audio & everyday electronics, Austin, TX. Audio hardware and desk electronics designed to disappear into the room. Volt & Vine builds quiet, well-made objects that happen to have circuits inside.
  • Maison Terra — Home & living decor, Santa Fe, NM. Slow homeware in clay, rattan and undyed linen. Every Maison Terra piece is made in small batches by a workshop of six in northern New Mexico.
  • Lumen Beauty — Skincare & wellness, Brooklyn, NY. Short ingredient lists, honest concentrations, recyclable glass. Lumen Beauty formulates skincare in Brooklyn and prints the full formula on every carton.
  • Copperleaf Kitchen — Kitchen & dining, Asheville, NC. Cast iron, copper and stoneware built to outlive the people who buy it. Copperleaf Kitchen has been seasoning pans in Asheville since 2016.
  • Norden Supply — Bags, watches & accessories, Minneapolis, MN. Full-grain leather and waxed canvas, cut and stitched in Minneapolis. Norden Supply makes carry goods with a repair guarantee instead of a warranty card.
  • Thread & Grain — Apparel & knitwear, Providence, RI. Heavyweight cotton, undyed wool and patterns that stay cut the same year after year. Thread & Grain would rather remake a good shirt than design a new one.
  • Paperfold Studio — Stationery & desk goods, Seattle, WA. Notebooks that lie flat, pens that survive a bag, and paper heavy enough for fountain ink. Paperfold Studio is a two-person bindery in Seattle.

What we take

Commission runs between 10% and 15% depending on category. There is no listing fee and no monthly charge. Makers set their own prices, write their own descriptions and ship their own orders.
